Job Description - The Division of Biological and Biomedical Systems invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor in Biology. The position will involve teaching undergraduate and possibly graduate courses, including “Introduction to Biology for Non-Majors”, upper-level courses in critical thinking, and courses involving your particular expertise (contribute to existing courses or develop your own). The attributes we seek are the potential or demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring. Experience supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds is a plus. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a 9-month, benefit-eligible, full-time (1.0) faculty appointment eligible for ranked promotion. Summer teaching may be available with sufficient enrollment. Anticipated start date is January 1, 2026.
Requirements
Qualifications - Applicants must possess a Ph.D., (M.D., D.D.S., or D.V.M.) by start date. Experienced MS or MA will also be considered with significant biological teaching experience. Postdoctoral experience is encouraged. Applicants should have experience with teaching biological concepts.
