The Hospitals of Providence - Sierra Campus offers a wide range of services across the market through its hospitals, emergency centers and specialty physician offices. We seek an experienced, board-certified physician to join our medical staff and provide leadership to the Utilization Management Committee (UM), Case Management (CM) and Health Information Management (HIM)/Clinical Documentation Improvement Departments.
In the Physician Advisor role you will:
- Lead and promotes processes for patients to receive medically necessary and high-quality care throughout the continuum of care.
- Stay abreast of professional best practices and community standards of care.
- Assist Administration in reducing financial risks associated with denials that are due to providing medically unnecessary or preventable services and extended length of stays.
- Previous experience as a Physician Advisor is preferred
- Experience as a physician leader in a large system, hospital, integrated delivery system or leader of a large complex department
- Reputation as an excellent clinician with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in medical practice
- At least five years of clinical experience involving the delivery of direct patient care in a hospital setting
- M.D. or D.O. with current Texas State Licensure in good standing
- Board Certification in a specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties

- Teleneuro - puts stroke patients in the care of a specialized neurologist within 15 minutes
